Award description

To provide a financial award to assist a woman in taking, or continuing, Indigenous course work at 麻豆社. This award is made possible by a unique partnership between the Canadian Federation of University Women - Victoria and the United Way of Greater Victoria and generously supported by the Horner Foundation

Criteria

You must:

  • be a female
  • be currently registered as a student at 麻豆社
  • have Indigenous (First Nations, M茅tis, Inuit, or Native American) ancestry
  • have a聽GPA聽of 2.5 or equivalent
  • complete the application form

Application process

You can聽apply for more than one award on a 聽for each application deadline date (with one exception 鈥 there is a separate application for the聽). Please note: If the deadline occurs on a weekend, applications will be accepted until 4pm on the Monday

Award deadlines:

  • Apply by聽October 10 - 12pm
  • Apply by聽January 22
  • Apply by聽May 15
  • Apply at聽any time
  • Faculty/staff nomination

Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants who work at, or volunteer with, a non-profit organization that undertakes to improve the lives of Indigenous people.聽 Financial need will be strongly taken into consideration.
